Rwanda’s travel and tourism industry has experienced a boom over the past 20 years, thanks to efforts by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) to enhance and diversify its tourism offerings. Rwanda has developed a Canopy Walk in Nyungwe National Park, the first of its kind in Africa, as well as the Congo Nile Trail, which offers a wide range of hiking experiences around the shores of Lake Kivu. Over the forecast period, the introduction of new tourism packages has helped in attracting new visitor segments in Rwanda’s as well as diversifying the country’s tourism sector!
