Ignore your guidebook!!!! It's much safer to eat in restaurants and stalls THAT ARE BUSY WITH LOCAL PEOPLE in my opinion. The locals always know best, your guidebook does not. My proof? 5 months eating like this in India and Sri Lanka without one bad day. Oh except that time I had a pizza in a Western style, air-conditioned pizzeria in Bangalore......Live and learn.
