Driving rules in France

Added by CazzaWho - 15/07/2008 17:15

On the topic of the news story, posted on the website today (15/07/08) it's worth noting another new driving law in France. See below for the French Embassy information:

"Since 1 July 2008, it has been the law in France to have a high-visibility jacket and a warning triangle in all vehicles in France.

This safety measure will protect all drivers at the scene of a road traffic accident. You don’t want to become another casualty!

The law does not apply to motorcycles, though it is highly advisable to carry them with you when possible.

Fines – between €90 and €135 – will apply from 1 October 2008"
