Great hotel for Non-drivers in San Diego

When we stayed in San Diego we decided not not hire a car - instead we stayed at the Handlery Hotel. It has a complimentary shuttle bus to and from many of the local attractions including Seaworld, Old Town, Bilbao Park and San Diego Zoo.

It is less than 10 minutes walk from the trolley (tram/metro) station and the local mall which has a variety of restaurants. The area has no pavements but we felt safe walking along the grass verges, even at night.

Whilst the rooms are fairly basic, they are large and clean and the pool is nice.
