Impressed at the Scottish wildlife

Ive just returned from a wildlife watching trip in the Scotish Highlands and I am truly suprised and delighted at the variety of birds and animals that can be found on and around our very own shores. Especially fun to watch were the bottlenose dolphins, resident all year in certain harbours and bays of Scotland. We also saw 4 minke whales, grey and common seals, sea eagles, badgers, deer and pinemartins. We went on an organised trip run by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) - They organise wildlife watching trips with the added bonus of having a professional wildlife photographer as the guide -so you can take great pictures too. I highly recommend their trip, they use knowledgeable local guides who have a real passion for the Scottish wildlife. The guides were flexible and relaxed and ensured we made the most of the time depending on weather conditions / recent sightings of various birds and animals. Having travelled all over the world I was really impressed at the wildlife watching opportunities right on our doorstep.
