Take a sarong - or three. These wonderfully versatile lengths of material can be used in so many ways. The most obvious is as a skirt, either to cover legs for modesty or simply to wear as a very light and comfortable piece of clothing. It can also cover the head and shoulders, should the need arise for whatever reason. It makes an excellent sheet, both on top and underneath, especially if you are not too sure what you are lying or sitting on. This same principal applies to pillows that may not be as clean as you would like. Of course, they are for use on the beach and lastly, they are very easy to pack and wash and dry.
PS There is no law to say that men can't wear them as well in hot climates.
