Lisbon - Great Tour

I have recently been to Lisbon and have since a strong infatuation with this eclectic and welcoming city.
My first impressions were that it reminded me of a mix of Rio, Barcelona and a bit of San Fran thrown in for good measures!
I decided I wanted to get to know this interesting city from an 'insiders' perspective. I looked at many tour options but have always felt put off by that 'every one on the bus/ cheesy sight seeing' that I have seen in so many places.
I then heard about a company called 'Inside Lisbon' who give a variety of tours including walking tours of the city. (The name interested me).
I was told they were very knowledgable but at the same time had a real personal approach which appealed to me.
So I booked on 'The orginal walking tour'. It was great, I saw all the main districts and felt like I got to the heart of the city. Falling more in love with soul of areas like Alfama and Castelo which I may not have ventured to with out the tour. My guide spoke great English and also had a great sense of humour too. Taking time to chat to us all individually rather than just repeating a load of learnt 'blurb'!

I have also seen on the website that they are doing 'experiences' with surfing, horseriding. yoga etc.

Next time I am there I will check them out too!
Lisbon is an amazing city and has so much to offer. A cosmopolitan city with a arty bohemian raw edge! and people who despite living in a bustling city are friendly and have time to help you.. .If you have not been and are looking for a cool city break- Go to Lisbon!
