Hello, some advice about working in Oz
Firstly it is difficult to get job on a working Visa, but it is possible if you are willing to fruit pick or work in a hostel in return for accommodation and meals. The above 2 options are realistic for you if you only have 3 months and they will allow you to work for a couple of weeks in each place. The second thing I would say is it is obviously a huge country so dont try to cover too much ground, espcially if you are planning to work too- much better to limit your trip to 1 or 2 states and really enjoy them to the full. I met alot of people who regretted spending so long travelling to different places on such a tight schedule, totally underestimating the distances.
Hope you find that helpful
I worked in Sydney and it was a great way to meet locals instead of travellers - I got bar work pretty easily and it was well paid, but long hours... Plus I had a whole three months, so they were much more willing to take me on over the busy Christmas period... I can imagine it's a lot tougher if you can't commit timewise. Fruit picking and working in hostels probably is your best bet otherwise... sometimes hostels offer work in return for board. I agree with Canberra about not trying to cover too much in that amount of time - especially if you plan to work along the way...
EIther way though you'll have a great time - Oz is amazing! I can't wait to get back there...
