Could anyone reccommend a hostel/B&B in St Kilda or Melbourne? We're looking to book a double room for 3 nights. Any tips would be greatly apprecited!!

We stayed in the ritz backpackers http://www.ritzbackpackers.com/index.htm Its right next to Elephant and Wheelbarrow (where the Neighbours night is if youre into that kind of thing) - was $20each two years ago. Its about 40 mins walk into town.

Hey I stayed in Base backpackers in St Kilda and it was immense, close enough to the Nieghbours night and right beside Acland St, which is famous for it cakes (can't go wrong there) Also it has its own bar and nightclub and rooms were clean. I highly rate this hostel.

DO NOT stay in the st kilda hostel called the coffee palace, its disgusting. If you want a melbourne city centre hostel, out of the few i stayed in, i recommend Melbourne International Backpackers. Its nice and clean, safe and central
