Romania

I'm off to western Romania for a few days in february but want to steer clear of the whole Dracula thing, anyone got any suggestions?

Bucharest is a big place, had problems with language and accommodation, but enjoyed Brasov in the transylvania are, avoid bran if you want to aoid the dracula thing - its full of tourist tat stalls around the castle

Sibiu is also nice, it was the european capital of culture a couple of years back. Also Cluj Napoca in eastern Romania is a nice romanian city with what seemed a half decent night club. The Transylvanian area is a really nice area, and you'll only really encouter dracula in Dran where the castle is (worth a visit though) and Sigishoara as were Dracula was born.
